Mel is most likely the first person you’ll talk to when you call Clasen & Schiessl CPAs, Ltd. She is part of our amazing administrative team and plays a key role in supporting our clients and team members. Everyone appreciate her dedication, patience and helpful nature. For Mel, the most rewarding part of her job has been getting to know our clients and local businesses… one of the many benefits of being a smaller firm in a thriving community. Not only does she enjoy assisting clients with their needs but she prides herself in helping out the rest of the Clasen & Schiessl CPAs, Ltd. team to make their jobs run more seamlessly. She is always ready and willing to take on new projects and dedicate herself to any task. Don’t let her sweet smile fool you, Mel has a witty personality that brings a fun atmosphere to our office. She displays a superb attention to detail and takes every task handed to her as an opportunity to learn and grow professionally.

Mel was born and raised in Pine River, MN and attended Central Lakes College. She is married to her husband, Rory, and they have three beautiful children together, Ozzy (14), Ivy (11), and Olive (8). She is a busy mom chauffeuring between baseball, dance, and gymnastics, as well as taking on the role as the Treasurer of Barclay Township.

Outside of the work life, Mel enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and diamond dot art. As a family, they spend their summers camping, fishing, and berry picking. If it has anything to do with enjoying some time out on the lake, then that’s where you’ll find them during our beautiful Minnesota summers.
