Passionate about what she does, Susan is known to go to great lengths to meet the individual needs of her clients. Clients take comfort in her welcoming personality, observant nature, and her impeccable attention to detail. Not only does Susan provide excellent, timely feedback and advice, but she can communicate complex accounting matters in plain English. She provides prompt attention to client queries and makes sure any issues get resolved.

Growing up in Maquoketa, IA, Susan graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in finance. Susan’s hard work and dedication led her to achieve her greatest professional accomplishment; receiving her Certified Public Accountant Certificate. Susan is an asset to our team with responsibilities including:

  • Government and nonprofit auditing
  • Individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns
  • Payroll

Not only does Susan find it rewarding to help clients everyday at work, but she continues to be an active member in her community. She is the deputy treasurer for both her township and the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.

Susan is a loving mother and wife to her husband, Fred, and her three children, Andrew, Holly, and Charlie. Both Andrew and Holly attend the University of ND, while Charlie is a proud PLHS junior and athlete. For this outdoorsy family, Duluth is one of their favorite hidden gems to travel to and spend time together. Susan describes herself as an avid gardener and an adventurous soul with a love for travel. Although they enjoy and appreciate living in Pequot and being surrounded by the hundreds of lakes, some of their best memories together are spent venturing and hiking along the magnificent north shore.
